The Open Boxes
“The Open Boxes” is a spacious five-bedroom residence located on a sprawling 21-cent plot in Kanjiramkulam, Trivandrum. The architectural design of the house is characterized by a façade that can be visually segmented into distinct boxes, each featuring large openings. These openings are thoughtfully adorned with varied materials, contributing to a harmonious balance in the overall elevation of the house. Inside, the house is meticulously planned around a central courtyard, reminiscent of the traditional “nalukettu” layout. This central courtyard not only serves as a focal point but also facilitates natural ventilation and creates a seamless flow of light throughout the interior spaces.
